The good news about Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy is that it is progressing nicely toward its first school year. The following is the latest update from Deke Andrews, Head of School.
Despite every tool imaginable to simplify our lives, life has become infinitely more complicated! Consequently, our needs are numerous and different but the alternatives and options are plentiful as well. This certainly applies to education. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy provides an alternative.
– If you desire a school with a great central location, SMLCA is an option.
– If you desire a school with low teacher/student ratios and small, safe classrooms, SMLCA is an option.
– If you desire a school that will start and finish with a Biblical worldview, SMLCA is an option.
– If you desire a school that will pursue excellence in all that it does, SMLCA is an option.
– If you desire a school that will impose lofty expectations on your child and then will do everything for them to meet those goals, SMLCA is an option.
– If you desire a school that will implement a college preparatory, God-centered curriculum, then SMLCA is an option.
Our prayer of late has not been that we would simply get a certain number of students. Rather, we are praying that God would nudge the hearts of those He wants to apply to do so soon. We are planning another Open House at Halesford Baptist Church on July 15 at 6:30 pm. More details will follow.
