Before the big Bassmaster Elite fishing competition actually occurs at Smith Mountain Lake, there will be what is called Angler Alley Afternoon, where you can get a look at what goes into the event and perhaps meet some of the pros involved.

Preliminary to the 4-Day ESPN/Bassmaster Elite fishing competition at Smith Mountain Lake, join in on a unique fan experience! An "open house" will be held for all of the participating anglers at Trinity Ecumenical Church on Route 122 on Wednesday afternoon. Fishing fans are welcome to meet the professionals, get a close-up look at their rigs and all of the gear it takes to fish in the Elite Series competitions. Fishing questions are welcomed, get angler autographs, take pictures and enjoy the afternoon. Event is part of the Bassmaster Tournament Trail.
