If you are an athlete living at or near Smith Mountain Lake, you may want to mark your calendar for May the 3rd. The 11th Annual SML Triathlon will be held on that day at Smith Mountain Lake State Park in Huddleston, Va.

This challenging and entertaining event will begin at 9:00am on May 3rd and will consist of  three parts: a 750 meter swim, a 20k bike race and a 5k running race. The categories for the triathlon competition are Male, Female, and Mixed is open to all age groups. The relay teams will be comprised of one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner.
