Serenity Estates

Have you heard about Serenity Estates at Smith Mountain Lake? If not, you probably will at some point as it is one of the areas newer developments and has an unusual twist to it’s existence.

Serenity Estates is a 205-acre subdivision with 11 (15 to 25 acre) tracts that cannot be further subdivided. That size of lot alone is an unusual characteristic. Most properties can be divided down to as small as 5 acre plots even in the country. But acreage is not the only thing that sets Serenity Estates in a category of it’s own. It is intended to be a “green” community, where people who are concerned about the environment can establish homes and protect a way of life that chooses harmony with nature over ‘progress’.

The creators of Serenity Estates, believe that the forests, woodlands and natural habitats of animals are being sacrificed in the name of social improvement and so-called progress. So they have established a sub-division with large clusters of land. Their vision is that it will then be guarded by it’s owners for the sake of the wildlife there, peace and quiet and also for their children’s futures.

So if you have an interest in preserving a natural sanctuary, dwelling where there are views of mountains, woods, pastures, and streams and would like living near others who appreciate the same things, you may want to check out Serenity Estates. It is located in Burnt Chimney, a pleasant, scenic, agricultural community on a branch of Gills Creek, where no hunting is allowed, and is less than 5 miles away from Westlake Towne Center.
