One of the things I love about Smith Mountain Lake is that progress here seems inevitable. There is an indomitable spirit of growth and a desire for improvement that just keeps on going regardless of economic dips and curves. More evidence to that effect are the latest business additions to our community.
Edward Jones, a quality investment company, is coming to Booker T. Washington Highway on Route 122 Business Center by A.S.A.P. They will be having their Grand Opening on Wednesday morning, July 22 from 11:30am. until 1pm. with the Ribbon Cutting at 12:15pm. Tasty finger sandwiches and snacks will be served.
We will be enjoying the welcome addition of Westlake Salon & Spa to the
Smith Mountain Lake business community on Thursday, July 23. The Ribbon Cutting will be at The Westlake Towne Shopping Center (beside Kroger) at 4:30 pm. followed by the SML Chamber’s Business After Hours 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

Carilion Clinic at Westlake is having their Grand Opening on Wednesday, July 29 from 11:30 am. to 1 pm. with the ribbon cutting at 12:15 pm. Dr. Edward Murphy and staff of the new clinic will be there for the ribbon cutting and delicious food and drinks will be served. The clinic is located at the Westlake Town Center behind Kroger on Rt. 122.
