Two special events, both will be taking place in Roanoke in the month of October. The drive from Smith Mountain Lake is a lovely one particularly in the fall, and you may find yourself feeling you should be present at one or the other of these vastly different opportunities.

We all know about the increasing incidence of breast cancer and so any female might benefit from the first annual Promise Day. And they say Opera is an acquired taste, but those who enjoy it seem to be genuinely taken by this musical art of story telling. Perhaps this will be the year you give it a try for yourself. Who doesn’t like a good story after all?
