Do you have some old appliances or unused electronics in the closet or basement of your Smith Mountain Lake home? If you are anything like me, I hate to throw away things that I know may have value to someone later on, so I collect more than I should in the garage, basement and other outbuildings.
Here is a great opportunity to clear out some space for yourself and put those old computer parts, stereo components and such to good use. The Goodwill Store and Prudential Waterfront Properties, in cooperation with Franklin County, will host the 2nd Annual Franklin County E-Cycling Day on Saturday, April 24th from 9am to 1pm.
This event will provide Franklin County residents with an environmentally friendly and convenient recycling and donating option at the Rocky Mount Goodwill store and at Prudential Waterfront Properties (located at the corner of Route 122 and Route 616).
This will be the second annual e-cycling event ever hosted and will focus on the recycling of computer equipment, small appliances and electronics. For more information contact Suni Heflin, sheflin@goodwillvalleys.com or Chris Finley, chris@thewillardcompanies.com.
