One of the primary reasons life stays interesting in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia and all across the world, is that each of us was created unique. We look different, we have different ideas, we like different foods, have different skills and gifts, and enjoy different kinds of leisure activities.

In order to meet the desires of our widely varied tastes, our community has developed a great diversity of social offerings. You might be surprised to learn that one of your favorite hobbies has a local following you could enjoy participating in. Or take up a brand new one that strikes your fancy. Take a look:

For Quilt Lovers the Lake Quilters Guild – Dedicated to the art and joy of quilting and making items for charity. 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month except July. Who doesn’t like pizza? Just like any American city, Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia is full of pizza lovers. If you are new to the area or just haven’t found the cream of the crop pizzerias yet, check out the offerings below for some fantastic food. Makes my mouth water just writing about it.

Lago’s Pizza - New York and Chicago style specialty pizza as well as wraps, burgers and sandwiches. Lago is extremely diverse in their selection of food, but their prices are down to earth. Open 11:00 am. to 9:00 pm. every day but Sunday. Located in the Shoprite shopping center, Moneta, Virginia. Call them at 540-297-5353.
