The weekend of September 21-23 at Smith Mountain Lake is jam packed with events worth seeing and or participating in. The problem may be which one to pick if you don’t have time to enjoy them all.

‘The 18th Annual Art Show’
The Smith Mountain Arts Council presents a non-juried art show at Resurrection Catholic Church from 5-7pm. Also, Sept. 21, 10-4 and Sept. 22-27, 12-4pm. Phone: 540-721-8425 or website: www.smithmountainartscouncil.com.

‘Central & Western VA Chapter Alzheimer’s Assoc. Memory Walk’
Non-competitive 3-mile walk; festive event for families, coworkers, and friends of all ages. Join and put name in a drawing for a gift card from Arthur’s Jewelry. Virginia Mountain Bike Race
This year’s race at Falling Creek Park in Bedford County offers a variety of challenges over its 5-mile course with rolling terrain and a mix of trail types. Phone: 540-586-7682.

Public Lands Day Event
Join volunteers across the country in projects to cleanup and improve public lands. Contact the park at 540-721-2094 to find out about projects that you or your group can assist with.
