smith mountain lake musicfestThere must be something special about October the 20th this year in the Smith Mountain Lake area. Nearly everyone with a fun fall activity has planned their festivity for that Saturday. There will be great music, moments of historical remembering, crafts, family affairs, and of course tantalizing food and more. Since there are so many fabulous events to choose from Part 1 will cover the musical events. Part 2 will give you the rest of the scoop.

Oct 20 – Apple Harvest FestivalDaylight till Dark – Come and join in the festivities at this years festival. Food, crafts, buggy rides, clowns, door prizes, apple butter making, live Bluegrass music. – Gross’ Orchard, 6817 Wheats Valley Road, Bedford Rt. 43 North of Bedford. – Free – 540-586-2436

Oct 20 – 2007 Music Series: Sunset Saturday V with Frank Dieter – Listen to live music as you enjoy an evening of good friends, fun and wine. Bring chairs, blankets and a picnic and settle in to watch the sun set over the vineyard. 2:30pm–6:30pm. $5 includes glass.
