The Smith Mountain Lake Association is a non-profit organization which desires to improve the quality of life for those living at Smith Mountain Lake. They are looking for people to join their efforts and be part of making things better for everyone.

The SMLA Board of Directors is forming an office volunteer squad not only to better serve our membership but also to stretch our limited financial resources. Mandy Martin has agreed to Chair this group and will be working out the details of training, scheduling, logistics and incentives.

Specifically, we are looking for volunteers to work as receptionists and office staff for one half day as often as your schedule permits. This group will answer the telephone and refer calls to subject matter experts, help prepare the newsletter, distribute correspondence, prepare normal correspondence with members, and assist with other office functions.

Volunteers will be a vital link in SMLA efforts to preserve the lake environment while having the opportunity to meet and work with interesting people.

Be a part of “what’s happening” at the lake and help keep our lake safe and clean.

Mandy’s ready to go! Join us by calling the SMLA office at 719-0690 or e-mailing Mandy Martin at mandycooks@suddenlink.net.
