One of the better known Christian authors and speakers of our time, Gary Smalley, said something to the effect that if families go camping together, they will undoubtedly experience bonding and be a closer family when they come home. While that is no doubt true in part to the hardships of roughing it together and dealing with the unexpected, it is also because with everyone eating, sleeping and having a good time together, intimacy grows.
