New things are happening with Discover Smith Mountain Lake magazine. In their last Fall Issue, they announced that RP Publishing was no longer heading up the production of the magazine. MacBen Marketing, owned by Eric and Shannon Grierson has taken over the reins and is planning for some new directions.
The new publisher will be Smile Broadcasting LLC, known as WSLK 880 and run by Timothy Ernandes. The hope is that the merger of the magazine and the radio station will offer Discover SML magazine’s readers/supporters a fresh and rich media mix crossover.
The partnership between MacBen Marketing and Smile Broadcasting offers Mr. Ernandes’s teams entertaining and insightful ideas combined with MacBen Marketing design, creative concepts, and web development. They believe this duo of talents will ensure the magazine is the best in design, photography, and overall audience appeal. You can look for the first issue under Smile Broadcasting is due out in the first part of January 2012.
