Many of us at Smith Mountain Lake have family coming in for the weekend or are traveling out of town. But some have made their plans only for Christmas Day or the week before or after Christmas…..or perhaps have no plans.
Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have anything to do on Christmas Eve, come join the good people at Redwood United Methodist Church for their planned celebration.
At 6 pm. there will be an impromptu staging of the Christmas story by children who want to participate, as well as carols sung by candlelight. Childcare is provided.
At 8 pm Candlelight & Communion will include carols by the choir lighting the candles and again childcare will be provided.
At 11 pm. will be the traditional, “Midnight” service with carols and special music, the service concludes with Holy Communion and the lighting of candles to welcome this holy day.
