The Smith Mountain Lake Lion’s Club was chartered in 1982 and has been doing good deeds in our area every since. As they often do, the club has acts of service planned for this month that are of great benefit to our lakeside community. You can learn more of what they do and what they are all about at the SML Lion’s Homepage. To contact someone at the Lion’s Club for more information write them at email@example.com . Just a few of the services they offer are listed below.
EYEGLASS RECYCLING: Second Friday of each month. Each month, four teams of three read the collected glasses for their lens parameters, label and bag them for distribution worldwide.
TAX ASSISTANCE: Lions Stan Smith, Fred Croft, Doug Overman, Bill Eisaman, and Gale Johnson have been honored for their work in the Tax Aid program for the elderly conducted in conjunction with AARP.
