Smith Mountain Lake’s newest source of information for boating has been established. The SMLBA (Smith Mountain Lake Boating Association) is now “online” with its new website. The site, www.smlba.com, features all the information that established, new or soon-to-be boaters on Smith Mountain Lake will need. Categories range from their mission statement to meeting the officers (along with links to contact them), from membership application to boating safety information and everything in between.
One area of the SMLBA website is focused on gas discounts with links to all the marina’s websites (another wealth of information in itself) that are currently running specials on fuel for boaters.
As expected, the SMLBA is the epicenter for the Tom Maynard Memorial Poker Run and their website has an entire section dedicated just to that great benefit. With applications, lists of sponsors and awards as well as an extensive photo gallery of the Poker Run entrants and their boats, this is a great way to find out about how you can get involved in the next running of this fun event!
