Food If you’ve lived around Smith Mountain Lake for very long, you’ve probably already heard of Fallon’s Restaurant, the family owned restaurant located just off of Route 122 near the Halesford Bridge. Since their grand opening in 2004, Fallon’s (“fallon” is the Gaelic word for family-run) has been known for serving one of the best steaks on the Lake. While a sizzlin’ Certified Angus Beef New York strip steak from Fallon’s will certainly delight the palate of any steak lover, the menu at Fallon’s is overflowing with a variety of delicious entrees, appetizers, and desserts. Had a hard day at work? Stop by to relax for the evening over a dinner of shrimp scampi sautéed with garlic, butter, tomatoes, and white wine served over wild rice or pasta. Perhaps you and your date want an Italian flair for your romantic dinner for two. Try their pasta primavera with mixed veggies sautéed in garlic, white wine, and olive oil and tossed with penne pasta, or perhaps the cappelina pomodora made with garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh basil in a balsamic marinara sauce served with angel hair pasta. Fallon’s also has an extensive seafood menu, as well as salads, burgers, chicken entrees, low-carb options, and a great kids menu. Here’s a link to the full dinner menu. But be warned – if you’re hungry, you just might find yourself on the road to Fallon’s before you know it!
