Where can you find weekend programs and activities for children, teenagers, and adults alike? Check out the Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Eductional Conference Center. They hire and train only top-notch staff for their summer 4-H camps and all other programs as well and it all takes place in a lovely setting near the Lake.

Considered by many to be one of America’s leading 4-H Centers, the W. E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center is located just minutes from Roanoke, Virginia. Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and nestled neatly along the shores of Smith Mountain Lake, our spacious facilities and beautiful 120 acres offer the perfect get-away for youth and adult groups alike.

We can accommodate groups of 400+ people in dormitory or hotel-style lodging rooms, our large dining hall/auditorium, and our 15,000 square feet of meeting rooms. Did we mention the 120 acres along the lake that features forests, streams, and fields? We boast over fourteen (14) recreational areas as well as several miles of beautiful hiking trails.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, we are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and ensure high quality programs through adherence to the standards set forth by the ACA as well as Virginia Cooperative Extension and Virginia 4-H.
