You might suppose that the Smith Mountain Lake Business Expo was only for the businesses of our community. Not so. On Friday, April 25th from noon until 6:30pm the Expo will be open to the general public and free of charge for all.

 What is more there will be free hot dogs, chips and drinks served from about noon to 1:30pm. and tickets will be given out and names drawn all through the day for free door prizes. Last year the door prizes totalled over $10,000 dollars worth of merchandise.

Of course you will be especially interested in this event if you have a business investment, and there will be much throughout the day of benefit to you.  A new “Business Bingo Card” format will also be incorporated to encourage those attending to see the entire event.

And finally, during the evening from 5pm to 6:30pm, there will be samplings of area restaurants at the ‘Taste of Smith Mountain Lake’. You can buy tickets early for the Taste of SML up till 5pm on 4/24 for only $5.00. At the gate on the 25th they will be $7.00. There are only 500 tickets available all told, so hurry to get yours if you are interested. Samplings come from: Smith Mountain Lake Visitor Center, Fallon’s Restaurant, Virginia Dare, Smith Mountain Coffee & Cafe, Blackwater Cafe, The Landing Restaurant, Chopsticks and Mariners Landing.
