Smith Mountain Lake State Park is the place to be on June 28th and 29th if you enjoy camping. If you have never taken the kids camping, then this might be the time for a family adventure. The park is located on the second largest freshwater lake in Virginia and has loads of exciting things to offer.

Starting at 10am. on Saturday morning, June 28th there will be all kinds of neat family oriented programs offered to the campers at SML State Park, and continuing throughout the weekend. There will be informative how-to’s, family fun & a marshmallow roast; Campfire Cooking Demonstrations, and much more.

29th - Smith Mountain Lake Association Water Fair - 12:00pm to 5:00pm - The Smith Mountain Lake Association hosts the seventh annual water fair to celebrate the lake.
