Smith Mountain Lake is a great place to live no matter what the season, and we appreciate the beauty and serenity we are blessed with. Still, there are those of us here who need help with pain management for various reasons. Chronic health conditions, injuries, accidents, etc. may all require extra care.
During wet, icy winter conditions, for instance, it is easy to find yourself involved in an accident before you know it. Last month I managed to fall some steps, wreck my niece’s car, and wipe out on an icy sidewalk at a friend’s house. Needless to say, I have greatly appreciated the choices in pain management available.
I use natural anti-inflammatories such as turmeric, ginger, rosemary, and bromelain (and other enzymes). I also find my chiropractor to be a life-saver (or a back-saver).
In the next section, two special events are coming up that no matter your preferred method of treatment, could provide you with some very valuable pain management options as well.

Hi, I work on an international discussion programme on BBC World Service radio in London and today (Wednesday) between 1pm and 2pm East Coast time in the States we are talking about dealing with pain. I was wondering if you would be interested in taking part in our discussion. If so, please send me your phone numbers to martin.vennard@bbc.co.uk and I will call you back.
Many Thanks
